Modena Automotive Smart Area (MASA) is a pioneering experimental project and the first urban laboratory in Italy dedicated to studying and developing new technologies and methods for managing the digital transformation of smart mobility. AD Consulting was responsible for installing the on-board sensor systems and the sensors used for environmental monitoring.

Several companies from the automotive sector were among the first signatories to the initiative, and the activities are developed in collaboration with Aerautrodomo di Modena, AD Consulting S.p.A. and Danisi Engineering.

The infrastructure is fully operational throughout the entire demonstration area.
Practical demonstrations, round tables and conferences have already been held.

In an urban context, MASA is unique on the Italian landscape due to the scale of the project and the significance of the technical and human resources involved.
AD Consulting is part of this multidisciplinary task force, bringing years of specialised expertise in IoT solutions for the automotive and smart city sectors.
We provided our most advanced technological solutions and prototypes to support the development of MASA’s demonstration phase, handling both the installation and cabling of hardware components and the development of software capable of managing data and enabling communication between the city and vehicles.
